Pledges by our Volunteers to keep their Environment Clean.

“I go to the beach alot (East Coast Park mainly) but it is cleaner there so I just wanted to see the situation on the other beach. After the event, I felt the urge to keep the environment clean and I really appreciate how there are organizations willing to host beach clean-up events. The next time I go the beach and see litter, I pledge to pick them up to keep the environment clean ☺️”

“Over the years, the environment around us has been becoming more polluted, contributing to global warming which is harmful to our planet. I decided to volunteer in this environment cleanup to play my part in helping to keep our environment clean after deciding to take the matter seriously. Through this event, I came to realize that in spite of Singapore being nicknamed “The Garden City”, there was a surprising amount of rubbish in our environment. I appreciate the organizers for conducting this event that enables ordinary folk like myself to contribute to the cleanliness of our home.

I pledge not to litter after this event and if I see trash while outside I’ll strive to pick it up and throw it in the trash.”

“Through documentaries and social media groups such as @mothershiponearth I learnt that animals like crocodiles got tangled by pollution in water bodies such as rivers or lakes, and that could contribute to the extinction of their species. I hope that everyone in Singapore can play their part in keeping Singapore clean and cultivate good recycling habits and reduce their reliance on environmentally harmful materials such as single-use plastics.”
